Cialis is a medication that is prescribed to treat man’s inability to maintain erection, i.e. to help penis harden and expand faster and without problems. This condition is often called erectile dysfunction.

The medicine makes blood vessels wider and encourages the necessary amount of blood to penis.

Cialis does not treat problems with desire but with erection only. Compared with other medicines of this type, it‘s left in the body for longer.

How taken

Cialis is only available with the doctor’s prescription. The medicine comes in tablets taken by mouth before sexual intercourse.

Cialis may start working within 36 hours after it’s taken that’s why the time of using the medicine is purely individual.

The medicine may only be taken once a day before sexual contact.

Never take more of Cialis than prescribed!

Dosage is individual and may be 5-20mg. In case a man is taking any medications for kidneys or liver, he may take 10mg of Cialis every 2 or 3 days at most.

Precautions

1 If there are any allergies, make sure the doctor knows about them. It’s not recommended to use the medicine if one has ever experienced an allergy to it.

2 One shouldn’t exceed the dose prescribed by the doctor.

3 If a man is taking prostate drugs, medicines for blood pressure or nitrate-based medications, Cialis is not recommended as it may negatively affect him. Some other medications may also badly influence man’s health state such as:

5 If a man experiences any pain or giddiness during when sexually excited, he should let the doctor know and stop taking the medicine.

6 It’s not allowed to drink alcohol during the treatment.

7 No one is protected from diseases transmitted via sexual intercourse.

8 Cialis is a medicine only for men and shouldn’t be used by either women or kids.

Side effects

The doctor should know if the effect produced by the medicine somehow changes during the treatment.

Most side effects go away when the body gets used to Cialis, such as dizziness, irregular heartbeats, headache, blood pressure problems, insomnia, blurred vision, pain in the muscles and different parts of the body.

Overdose

If a dose of about 500mg is taken, there is a risk of an overdose which may lead to a long-lasting and painful erection called priapism. As this may last for more than 4hrs and result in chronic impotence, one has to call the emergency at once.
